It was a cloudy morning just outside of Seattle when I captured this image. This is Mount Si, in the Pacifit Northwest.
The sky had been overcast for days, which helped with soft light. I knew i wanted to get an image of something still, something peaceful.
The way the still waters reflected the shape of the trees and the clouds above was so beautiful, I sat for a while and just took in the peace that came from this scene. Then, when it felt right, I pressed the shutter.
It’s as if the waters mirrored eternity for me, all in one shot.
